TATTOO AFTER CaRE INSTRUCTIONS

firstly, thank you for choosing me for your new tattoo and aside from the pain, i hope you enjoyed the whole process!

Now, PLEASE FOLLOW these steps to support proper healing:

Post-Session / First Night

- Keep the tattoo covered with the initial cling film wrap for at least 7 hours or, if possible, overnight until the following morning, provided the wrap remains intact.

Unwraps / First Clean

- Remove the cling film wrap, then wash your hands thoroughly.

- Gently clean the tattoo with lukewarm water and unscented, antibacterial hand soap. Ensure all soap is rinsed off, splash the tattoo with cold water to close open pores

then pat dry with a clean paper towel.

Avoid using fabric or washable towels during the initial healing phase to prevent contamination.

Initial Healing Phase (Days 1-10)

- Gently clean the tattoo at least 3-4 times daily - morning, afternoon, and before bed.

Following the first clean method outlined above.

- After each clean and drying, keep the tattoo uncovered to allow fresh air and your body

to naturally promote healing and adapt to the new tattoo.

- From day 3, apply a very thin layer of fragrance-free, tattoo-specific MOISTURIZER or Lubriderm, if unavailable, Palmer's Cocoa Butter or Coconut Oil after drying. Use this to support skin healing and relieve itchiness.

Note: Washing and time are the primary healers;

excessive moisturizing can clog pores, increase infection risk, and hinder the process - use sparingly.

Healing Phase (Days 10-21)

- Shift to your regular cleaning routine; gently cleaning the tattoo is no longer necessary unless needed.

- Continue applying a minimal, thin layer of MOISTURIZER 2-3 times daily. If you notice oily skin, spots, or irritation, reduce application and let it dry out for a few days or until clear again. Use only as needed for itchiness and dry skin.

Later Stage Healing Phase. (1-6 Months)

- MOISTURIZE the tattoo at least once daily, switching to a moisturizer of your choice if desired.

- By the 6-month mark, your tattoo will be fully healed at all skin layers, with tougher, well-settled skin. Until then, follow the avoidance recommendations below to protect it. But aside from exercise, avoiding these as much as possible for the first 6 months is advised.

Things to Avoid During the Entire Healing Process

- Soaking the tattoo in water (e.g. baths, swimming) for at least 6 weeks.

Chlorine can and likely will affect the fully healed tattoo.

- Scratching, picking, or peeling the tattoo - allow scabs to fall off naturally.

- Direct sunlight and tanning beds will always affect a tattoo both during healing and once healed.Avoid for at least 4 weeks but much longer if possible.

- Excessive sweating from intense exercise for the first 48 hours.

- Avoid wearing tight clothing over the tattoo for at least 4 weeks and ensure any clothing worn during the initial healing phase is clean.

For any concerns (e.g. excessive redness, swelling, pus) contact me directly.

Don't worry though, infection isn't the end of the world; any wound on the

body carries this risk. In most cases, stopping moisturiser and maintaining cleanliness

through washing can resolve it. In worst-case scenarios, a course of antibiotics will cure the infection.

thank you again for the trust. i am extremely grateful for your support and

wish you all the best as your new tattoo settles in. Take care!
